The question of how to talk women is a lot harder when men come from the wrong place: namely, thinking it’s the guy’s job to win women over or impress them.

In the video, Brian tells the story of a man who had a bad mindset about how to talk to women and their rejections. He had the mindset that if he knew how to talk to women as well as Mystery (a coach from the old “pickup artist” world), he could win over any woman. That also came with the mindset that it’s the man’s job to win a girl over.
But when you see a beautiful woman, you don’t know if you ACTUALLY like her. You know she’s beautiful to you, and you might even be strongly attracted just from that. That’s fine, but you still don’t know if you actually like the human underneath those looks or if she’s a good match for you…even if it’s just for the night.
A better, more empowering, and more attractive mindset to come from when it comes to how to talk to women is to – even after you’ve told her you think she’s sexy (or whatever is true for you or caught your eye) is “…Now who are you? Are you a match for me?” Be the selector.
That will keep you from taking rejections so hard and from wasting your time on the wrong girls. It can also make you feel more confident and come off as more attractive because she’ll feel that you’re being a discerning man with high standards who knows what he likes and isn’t just desperately searching for whatever you can get.
