Most people who make New Year’s Resolutions won’t move much closer to their biggest goals and dreams in 2021…maybe ever. If you want to be in the minority of people who do have massive success and make your dreams come true, you’ve got to do what most don’t: Step into fear and tension: both big fears and tension, and ESPECIALLY the mundane, everyday tension.

In the video, Brian talks to students at a seminar in Bucharest, Romania about the “Curse of the Middle Class” and the avoidance of tension that holds most people back from achieving their dreams.
The middle class is taught to put a high priority on comfort and security.
To get a good, “safe” job.
To stay away from taking risk.
But making your dreams come true and making other big things happen in your life will always require you to take risks and get outside your comfort zone.
Your ability to proactively step into and manage tension, being uncomfortable, and risk – from a “choose to” mentality where you actually begin to enjoy the experiences vs a “have to” mentality where you’re forcing yourself to do something you really don’t want to do – is equal to what you’ll tend to receive in terms of money, other success, women, dating, sex, and relationships, and just life in general.
The most successful people in the world and the people living the biggest or most adventurous lives feel most alive when they are in the tension.
So what’s your relationship to tension? Do you actively seek out and step into tension, relaxing into it, growing through it? Or do you tend to avoid it and rush through tense moments to get them over with as quickly as possible?
If you want to make your dreams come true in 2019 – or at least make more progress towards them than ever before – take a look at your relationship to tension, and consistently step into more tension around your goals and dreams, one manageable step at a time.
