“Hi there, Brian I’ve been doing those Letting Go exercises you’ve shown in the Part 2 – “The Nice Guy Syndrome” for 2 weeks almost every day. This process definitely triggered old suppressed stuff in me and for about a week my mood went downhill. My body felt tight for no reason, i was borderline depressed and felt hella scared too. But now it seems to go back to normal and i have much easier time saying “no” to pushy people without feeling any aggression. Thanks. I think it really helped. And a question i have now is: “How do i determine if a tendency to avoid contact with manipulative & lying people is me avoiding tension or it’s a normal behavior that keeps me away from toxic people”? I’m ok with many types of tension but communicating with passive aggressive negative manipulative people and the conflict in it seems to be the thing that i always wanna avoid.”
